Max More Quit as Alcor Prez... a few months before political hell to break loose.
Is he heading for the hills north of Scottsdale? Camp Verde?
RECENT SCAN of ALCOR SITE SHOWS MAX MORE QUITTING as PRESIDENT
I don't look at cryonics too often these days with my hands full of my own... situations. Occasionally I like to review my files though and I discovered Max is leaving as President of Alcor. After a few days, it occurred to me that a lot of cyro people are survivalists and that with the covid psyop and election chaos, that we could see some crazy things hit cities soon. One of the original reasons Pizer built Ventureville in Mayer, north of Phoenix, was to have a survival area in case things crash in the cities but he has since sold off that property like he does all properties, being nothing but a property flipper-- to the end I guess. Across the I/17 freeway and a bit north, however, is a nice little town called Camp Verde. I suspect long time survivalist Doug Platt is there in survivalist mode and I'm only speculating-- but could Max be joining Doug in Camp Verda for the chaos to come? JUST a "theory" at this point. I'm stuck in Phoenix so if the SHTF, I'm cooked. However, I'm not currently signed up having lost my faith in Alcor and cryonics in around 2013 in favor of following Seung-Hayworth-Connectomes-ASC. My motivation to fund my previous membership for head only with no vitrifiction sort of went downhill, especially since dues went up, and I found out more about membership churning and I could not get reassurance on antifreeze protocol at my chosen level of funding. On top of that, my actual real-life income was falling short of my income and something had to give.

The technology and solutions that Alcor uses for vitrification (a technology from mainstream organ banking research) were actually developed by the same company that developed ASC and has now won the Brain Preservation Prize. ASC under the name “fixation and vitrification” was first proposed for cryonics use in 1986. ASC enables excellent ..

Dec 01, 2015 · To demonstrate the suitability of ASC brains for connectome tracing studies, Ken Hayworth at the Janelia Research Campus in Virginia kindly agreed to carry out FIB-SEM imaging of a 10 μm × 10 μm × 5 μm region of rabbit hippocampus that had been preserved using ASC. Fig. 8 shows several slices from that volume. Overall structural preservation is excellent: processes are clearly defined and organelles are intact, as expected.
